Peplums and Pineapples : 1920's inspired 40th birthday.

so tonight my aunts friend is turning 40! halfway to eighty! She wanted a 1920's styled party for her birthday and so tonight we had to pull out the frocks that were owned by my aunt about 20 years ago! or even a bit longer, these dresses she said
"i wore to clubs and functions-it was quite the fashion back then!"
Once i heard those words, i flew into my bedroom and grabbed my camera, i told her to model for me on the stairs, as she was 'entering' a dinner room or hallway. We curled her hair a bit and added the diamonté headband around her head, to give her that 'sybil' look from Downton Abbey we contrasted, the diamonds with the aubergine coloured velvet frock she was wearing.

At once i though of Sybil, from Downton Abbey, and made a collage of the things that looked so similar, the headband were similar, the frocks were similar and the make up and hair were similar. My aunt (Nuala) might as well be Sybil right now!
